Carpet Cleaning Companies:
Which Ones Are Any Good?...
And Which Ones Are Guaranteed
To Rip You Off,
Use Toxic Chemicals,
And Leave Your Carpets Stained?
Take 90 Seconds to Protect Yourself
From Being Burned By Unscrupulous
and Poor Quality Carpet Cleaners
If you are considering hiring a carpet cleaning company, take a few minutes looking at some of the information on this site, it will
help you make the best decision when choosing a carpet cleaning company.
Carpet cleaning companies are not the same. Make sure you know exactly what type of equipment
the company you are considering hiring is using – do not select a company based on the cheapest price or the best coupon
offers!
The carpet cleaning industry receives many complaints from consumers who are unhappy with either the
quality of the cleaning job they have received or the unscrupulous pricing tactics used
(go to http://www.complaints.com/ to see this firsthand!). These types of complaints are due to the following reasons:
 |
Stains not removed or return later |
 |
Pet smells are still present or worse than
before! |
 |
Carpets are wet for too long |
 |
Detergents used are still ingrained in
carpets |
 |
Pricing on advertising is very misleading |
 |
Pricing ends up being 3-4 times original
quote |
We’d like to help you understand the reasons for these complaints and what to watch out for when considering which cleaning company to
hire.
Before you select a company to clean your carpets, you might want to consider the following to ensure that you don’t become another
victim of the industry’s rip-off tactics and poor cleaning results:
Why Do Most Carpet Cleaning Companies Leave The Stains And Smells They Were Supposed To Be Getting Rid
Of?
The reason for the above problems is often due to the equipment that the company uses, which varies considerably. At
the low end, this can be a portable machine (similar to those that you can rent from your local store), up to van-mounted equipment.
Most companies machines cannot produce steam at a high enough temperature (typically between 100-200 degrees F)
or have insufficient suction power (to suck back the dirty fluids). Because of this, most companies use
chemical detergents on your carpet to try to break down the stains. Unfortunately, most of this detergent ends
up remaining in your carpet or, worse, gets smeared in with the original stain.
At Oops Steam Cleaning, we have custom-built our machines, based on over 11 years experience working with the other
companies and finding out what works and what doesn’t. Our powerful, van-mounted machines produce steam at 250
degrees, which provides a better cleaning without having to use sanitizers. We do use a pretreatment that is sprayed
down before we steam it back out with all your dirt and soil which is a citric acid pretreatment – totally natural and safe.

Good quality for the price!
Amazing job on my carpets. If I didn't know better, I'd say my carpets were brand new. I really like the professional who came
out and took care of the stains and filthiness in a courteous and professional manner.

How To Avoid Being Ripped Off By Those Scheming 'Bait And Switch'
Carpet Cleaning Companies
Beware the ‘bait-and-switch’ – this is a favorite tactic of many of the carpet cleaning companies out there. You
know the routine: “$99 to clean your whole house”. When the technician arrives he tells you that you need spot/stain
treatment which is extra – in the end, your bill is likely to be 3-4 times what was promised. Most
technicians in the business are actually on commission – they make 18-30% of the final price! – no wonder they want to
charge you as much as they can, so they can make more money!
At Oops Steam Cleaning, we will outline exactly what our pricing is, over the phone – before
we come out there! There are no hidden charges or surprises and our technicians are not paid commission.

Cleaning Service, That Actually
Does What It Is Supposed To...
Take 90 Seconds To See If You Agree
My name is Jason Troy, I have worked in the carpet cleaning business for over 11 years, working for many of the major national companies. I
was appalled at the quality of the cleaning jobs that were possible with some companies’ equipment. It was normal to be
called back to redo a job up to 10 times a month (about 10%), because the customer was unhappy! The equipment and
chemicals used were just not getting the job done right, first time, on a consistent basis.
I spent some time researching this and decided to design my own machine and go into business for myself. Oops Steam Cleaning was born.
We have now been in business since 2006 and we have seen first-hand what a difference this new equipment makes.
